I need a custom report inside my current Odoo POS that tells me—at a glance and in detail—how each product is performing. For every item sold, the report must pull and display its cost, selling price, and calculated profit margin. I want to be able to switch between a summary view (totals and averages) and a drill-down view that lists every single product line, so please structure the data to support both aggregated and item-level insights. Presentation matters: the same information should appear in a clean table and in charts (bar or line—whichever communicates profit trends best). The report has to live inside Odoo, accessible from the POS reporting menu, refresh off real-time data, and be exportable to Excel or CSV without breaking the formatting. Acceptance criteria • In-app menu entry under POS Reports opens the new “Item-wise Profitability” view. • Table columns: Item, Quantity Sold, Cost/Unit, Price/Unit, Total Cost, Total Sales, Profit, Profit %. • Toggle or separate tab displays corresponding charts for top-selling and most profitable items. • Report honours existing user access rights. • Delivered as an installable Odoo module with clear deployment instructions.
