I’m looking to have a web-based auction platform created solely for collectibles. Bidding will be asynchronous—the system should accept bids up until the lot’s closing time, display current high bids on refresh, and then automatically award the item to the highest bidder once the countdown ends. No live, second-by-second bid race is required. The core I need developed includes: • Item catalogue with photos, descriptions, reserve price, and closing timer • User accounts with wallet or secure payment method to place and track bids • Seller and admin dashboards to list, edit, or withdraw lots and to view bid history • Automated notifications (outbid, bid confirmed, auction won/lost) via email • Clear end-of-auction settlement page showing final price, fees, and payment link Please use a mainstream stack that supports future scaling—I’m comfortable with PHP/Laravel or Node/Express for the backend and a modern JavaScript framework on the front end, but I’m open to suggestions if it keeps upkeep simple. On hand-over, I expect: 1. Source code in a private repo 2. Basic installation/readme 3. A staging link for user acceptance testing If you’ve built auction or marketplace sites before, share a live URL or demo credentials so I can see how you handled timed bidding.
