I need a quick WordPress clean-up that should fit comfortably into a single hour. 1. On several blog posts a large red icon appears above and below the content. I suspect Elementor is injecting it, but I’m not completely sure. Please track down whatever is generating those icons and eliminate them without disturbing the existing styling or layout. 2. The media library is almost entirely JPEG files. I’d like every image losslessly compressed, duplicate files deleted, and thumbnails regenerated if required. This image work is also how I’d like page-load times improved, so choose the tool or workflow you prefer—ShortPixel, Smush, WP-CLI, manual optimisation, etc.—as long as the result is a clearly lighter page weight. Acceptance criteria • No red icons display on any post after your fix. • Media library contains no duplicates and all images are compressed. • GTmetrix or a similar test shows a faster load time driven by image optimisation. Elementor is active, so please be comfortable working inside it. Make your own backup or snapshot before you start and aim to wrap everything up in one session.
