job description • All-source analysis (general support) should provide general military intelligence analysis and organisational expertise to address threats to the EU Army/Ministry of Defence’s interests worldwide. • Conduct analysis using intelligence and information from a variety of sources, including HUMINT, IMINT, OSINT, MASINT and GEOINT, to assess, interpret, predict and explain a range of regional or functional national security issues and developments. • Provide comprehensive analytical support for intelligence collection, operations, investigations and other defence intelligence analysis requirements. • Conduct open-source research and threat analysis on foreign military counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism, force protection and information operations, as well as their operations, capabilities, activities and trends, to support open-source intelligence and threat assessment, particularly in areas posing a threat to the interests of the EU Army and the Ministry of Defence. • Provide support for counter-intelligence investigations by liaising with counter-intelligence officers and other members of the Ministry of Defence and the intelligence community. • Utilise intelligence and law enforcement databases and search engines to provide record verification, data research and social network analysis. • Conduct in-depth biographical intelligence research to assist with investigations, support subject interviews and advance case development. • Utilise research, digital mapping procedures and analytical tools, including Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and classified searches. • Analyse intelligence information through a comprehensive understanding of intelligence analysis techniques to assess developments, trends and threats, including forecasting and/or other analytical methods. • Analyse threats posed by terrorist groups and foreign intelligence agencies to EU Army forces, plans and operations. • Provide recommendations on technologies and innovative methods to be adopted in threat analysis and protection. • Research and analyse military, political, economic, technological and other developments within designated regions to conduct effective threat assessments. • Identify intelligence gaps and assist in developing intelligence collection plans. • Provide recommendations on intelligence findings to team leaders and the chain of command. • Plan, coordinate and synthesise research to prepare all-source intelligence products and countermeasures. • Ensure that products meet the intelligence requirements of the Army, the Ministry of Defence and the State. • Evaluate information from all elements of the IC report to resolve information conflicts, determine the value of the report, and assess whether the information meets requirements and contributes to collection efforts. • Generate analytical reports based on a review of investigations and searches of intelligence community databases, to support ongoing national security investigations and internal threat reports. Required qualifications/skills: • 10 years’ experience in all-source intelligence within the intelligence community or the Ministry of Defence, including the preparation of reports and briefings for senior clients within the intelligence community or the Ministry of Defence. • A Master’s degree or MSc in national security or international relations. • 8 years’ experience working in the intelligence community or the Ministry of Defence within the relevant Area of Responsibility (AOR). • 5 years’ experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, contributing to the production of all-source intelligence analysis.
