I run a fast-moving online news platform built entirely with Next.js and React, and I’m looking for a senior-level technical SEO specialist to take full ownership of our SEO infrastructure and help scale organic traffic. This is a hands-on role — I’m not looking for reports or generic recommendations. I need someone who can audit, implement, and ship real fixes directly into production. ⸻ Phase 1: Technical Audit (Week 1) Your first mission is a deep technical audit covering: * Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) * Crawl budget & indexing efficiency * React / Next.js rendering behavior (SSR, hydration, dynamic routes) * Structured data (NewsArticle schema) * XML sitemap (including News sitemap) * Canonical tags & duplication issues * robots.txt optimization * hreflang (if applicable) * Indexation issues via Google Search Console ⸻ Phase 2: Implementation (Weeks 2–3) * Apply fixes directly via: * Pull requests OR * Clean, production-ready code snippets * Follow Next.js SEO best practices only * No theoretical recommendations — execution is required ⸻ Monetization Constraint (Critical): We actively use Google AdSense, so: * All optimizations must preserve ad performance * Must comply fully with AdSense policies * Ability to improve layout without harming revenue ⸻ Deliverables: * ✔️ Comprehensive technical SEO audit (prioritized issues + actions) * ✔️ Implemented fixes (PRs or code-ready solutions) * ✔️ Optimized XML + News sitemap & robots.txt (live) * ✔️ Search Console improvements (errors reduced/cleared) * ✔️ Performance snapshot (Lighthouse + Web Vitals + SEO baseline) ⸻ Acceptance Criteria: * Audit delivered within 7 days * Priority fixes implemented within 14 days after audit * Core Web Vitals = “Good” (mobile & desktop) * Search Console coverage issues significantly reduced ⸻ Requirements (Strict): * Proven experience with technical SEO for large or news websites * Strong experience with Next.js / React SEO challenges * Experience handling indexing issues at scale * Experience with AdSense optimization (big plus) * Ability to work directly with code (not just SEO tools) ⸻ To Apply, Answer These Questions: 1. Share 2–3 technical SEO projects you’ve worked on (preferably news sites) 2. Describe a Next.js SEO issue you solved and how 3. What are the first 3 things you would check on our site? 4. Have you improved Core Web Vitals before? Provide results 5. Experience with AdSense + SEO conflicts? Explain
