I already have every colour entered as a variant on one parent product, but I now need each of those colours to live on its own product page without losing the simple “choose your colour” experience for shoppers. Here’s what has to happen: • Turn every existing colour variant into an individual product, keeping the current images, SKUs, prices and inventory counts intact. • Generate the new product URLs/handles (I don’t have them yet) and wire them to the colour swatches on the parent page so a click instantly redirects to the corresponding single-colour product. • Ensure stock is deducted only from the relevant colour product at checkout and remains perfectly in sync across the store. • Maintain all current collections, SEO handles and internal links so no 404s appear and performance stays fast. The work will require Shopify Liquid, theme-editing, metafields and likely a bit of Shopify Admin API scripting to migrate data cleanly. The job is complete when: 1. Each colour opens on its own URL. 2. Swatch clicks and colour selectors always land on the correct page. 3. Inventory adjusts accurately per colour after a test purchase. 4. No broken links or theme errors are introduced. No third-party apps, just clean theme edits or lightweight scripts. The work shouldnt be broken from theme updates. The theme is free Dawn Theme.
