SketchUp Library Addition Concepts

I already have a clean SketchUp model of my home’s exterior and I’d like fresh eyes on how to enclose a small gap between two wings. The plan is to turn that space into a library and then add a reading nook roughly 7 × 7 ft up to 10 × 10 ft—big enough for a pair of chairs off of that area. What I need from you is three-to-four alternative concepts, modelled directly in my file, that explore both the room shape and, most importantly, the new roof line where several pitches meet. I favour a traditional look overall, but I’m completely open on roof type—gable, hip, flat or anything clever that resolves the junction cleanly. For the footprint I’d like to see at least one octagonal idea, one rectangular or square option, and any other form you think works best with the house. In the screen shot the green area is where the library will be located and the red area is one idea of a partial octagonal footprint for the reading nook. These can be massing-level studies; photoreal materials or interiors aren’t necessary right now. Just keep the geometry tidy, grouped, and on logical layers so I can toggle each scheme on and off for comparison in SketchUp. A few labeled screenshots or scenes explaining ridge heights and pitch transitions would be helpful too. When you send the SKP back, I’ll review roof harmony, proportions, and general fit. If we nail a concept I may post a follow-up project for detailed drawings—and would be happy to keep working together.
