Social Media Manager for At Peace Counselling Services based in Canada Project Description: Hello! We run a small counselling practice focused on mental health services tailored specifically for the South Asian community from Pakistan and India. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Social Media Manager to manage our online presence on a part-time, ongoing basis (approximately 10-15 hours per week). We are posting this as a recurring project and prefer someone based in Pakistan who deeply understands South Asian culture, traditions, family dynamics, and the sensitivities around mental health topics in our communities. What You’ll Do: • Create and schedule engaging content 3 X a week (posts, reels, stories, graphics) for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X. • Develop content that respectfully addresses mental health stigma, family issues, wellness, and cultural topics relevant to South Asian audiences (e.g., Trauma, intergenerational challenges, relationship issues, career stress). • Use English primarily, with optional Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi elements when appropriate. • Engage with followers: respond to comments and messages professionally and empathetically. • Suggest and run small campaigns to promote our counselling services, workshops, or events. Requirements: • Must be a South Asian, preferably based in Pakistan. • Proven experience managing social media for brands (health, wellness, or community pages are a big plus). • Excellent understanding of South Asian cultural nuances and how to communicate sensitively about mental health. • Skilled in Canva or similar tools for creating visuals. • Strong English writing skills; additional South Asian language skills are a bonus. • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
