I need a TDL script that extends my current Tally Prime setup with two clear objectives: richer insight through tailored reports and a smoother day-to-day experience through a refined interface. First, the reporting side. I want three separate, printable, and drill-down friendly reports built directly inside Tally: • Sales report that can filter by period, item, and customer, then display totals, margins, and comparative figures against last period. • Inventory report showing real-time stock position, ageing, and fast/slow movers, with alerts for reorder levels. • Finance report summarising P&L and Cash Flow at a glance, with the option to jump to the underlying vouchers. Second, the interface tweaks. I would like the main dashboard rearranged so the most used KPIs (sales today, stock valuation, cash on hand) appear first, and redundant widgets are removed. In the menu ribbon, consolidate frequently-used tasks—sales invoice, payment entry, stock journal—into a single, easily reachable section, while tucking away rarely-used options to reduce clutter. A quick preview company where you can demonstrate the reports and the new menu/dashboard layout will serve as my acceptance test. Once everything runs smoothly there, we will roll it out on the live data set. Clean, well-commented TDL code is essential, so future tweaks remain straightforward.
