I need a web-based portal to streamline how our employees and managers handle daily routine tasks. The system must let managers create, assign, and schedule tasks, while employees receive clear instructions and update their progress. Both roles should have role-specific dashboards: managers see overview and analytics; employees see their personal queue. Every new task, change of status, or approaching deadline has to trigger two kinds of alerts—an email plus an in-portal notification—so nobody misses a step. A simple calendar or timeline view for scheduled work, basic search, and downloadable reports will round out the first release. You’re free to propose the tech stack you’re strongest in (Laravel, Django, Node, or similar modern frameworks are all fine). What matters is clean, well-commented code, responsive design, and an install guide so we can deploy it on our own server without friction.
