I am looking for a designer/engineer to develop the chassis (structure/enclosure) of a toy robot. The project involves creating a functional design that properly accommodates electronic and mechanical components, with a focus on ease of assembly, proper fit, and manufacturability. Scope of Work: Full 3D modeling of the chassis Design of structure and mounting points for components Consideration of assembly (screws, fasteners, internal access, etc.) Design optimized for manufacturing (preferably 3D printing, but open to suggestions) Components to be used: (The freelancer should account for space and mounting of these items) Motors Wheels Display Other electronic components (details will be provided) Required Deliverables: Editable 3D file (STEP format or similar) STL files ready for manufacturing (3D printing) Technical drawings with key dimensions (PDF) Nice to have (not mandatory, but a plus): Experience with robotics or physical product design Suggestions for materials and manufacturing process Assembly file or exploded view Bill of Materials (BOM) Fit validation in CAD (interference check) Availability for 1–2 iteration cycles after physical prototype testing Important Requirements: The design must allow easy assembly and maintenance It must be suitable for real-world manufacturing (not just visual/concept) Final design must be fully usable and editable by me (no restrictions) Additional Information: I can provide dimensions and visual references I am open to design suggestions and improvements Looking for someone with good communication and practical experience Please include your portfolio or similar past projects when applying.
