I need a small Twitter bot attached to new account which constantly watches for certain hashtags I specify, and then shoots back a tailored reply pulled from a keyword-to-message map. The flow is: • Listen to the Twitter streaming API for any tweet that both mentions my handle and carries one of my target hashtags. • Detect which keyword/hashtag triggered the event, look it up in a simple config (JSON, CSV, or a table—whatever is easiest to maintain), and compose the corresponding reply. • Publish the reply in real time from new dedicated account, ensuring it threads correctly and respects Twitter rate limits. I am comfortable with either Python (Tweepy) or Node.js (twitter-v2, Twit) as long as the final code is clean and documented. Environment variables must keep my API keys safe. Acceptance criteria • End-to-end demo on your own dev account showing a mention ➜ bot reply. • Source code plus a short README covering setup, config format for hashtags/keywords, and how to run the script as a background service (systemd, PM2, or a simple cron wrapper). • Quick hand-off session so I can swap in my credentials and hashtags and be fully autonomous.
