I’m putting together a tiny, one-page “Will you be my Valentine?” site that pops the big question to my girlfriend in the sweetest (and slightly sneaky) way possible. The page shows the question in plain text and two buttons—Yes and No. If she dares to press No, the Yes button should smoothly grow larger and larger until the No button slides or fades out of view, nudging her toward the answer I’m hoping for. I also want a live countdown ticking down to February 14th and a simple way for me to swap romantic background themes (a few JPG/PNG or CSS gradient options I can toggle without touching code would be perfect). No elaborate animations or back-end work—just clean, lightweight HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS (or a tiny framework if it truly simplifies things). Mobile responsiveness is a must since she’ll likely open it on her phone. Deliverables: • Complete, self-contained code files (HTML, CSS, JS) • A live website • Clear comments or a short README so I can update the text, add/remove backgrounds, or change the countdown date • Tested across modern mobile and desktop browsers Acceptance criteria: if there is a live website; the countdown shows the correct time left until Feb 14; the Yes/No logic works every time (Yes magnifies and No disappears on any click of No); and background switching is painless. If this sounds fun to you, I’d love to see how quickly we can bring it to life.
